Best: Chiefs for Priest Holmes

Next: Cris Carter somewhere
Kid, Moss is untradable with his current contract, you don't have to worry about him going anywhere.

More towards the coaching/management aspect
Best: Rams hiring Lovie Smith
Worst: Packers drafting Robert Ferguson ahead of Badger Chris Chambers - a 45 inch vert for "pete's" sake.
Next: Gruden to Tampa?
Best Move: Starting Brady the rest of the year even after Bledsoe was healthy enough to play.
Worst Move: Any move by my Detroit Lilies organization. Take your pick: Hiring of M&M, Vince Tobin, the release of Jones the day before the season starts, the trade for Detmer, the benching of Batch after one game with Ty throwing 7 INTs in his first start, putting Moore on the IR even though he could possibly play. And that was just this year, I am sure I can come up with more brilliant moves.
Next Move: Bledsoe to the Bears.

Next Move: Bledsoe to the Bears.
Yeah, baby!
This move makes a lot of sense to me, and I had thought of it before, but I have not heard anybody else (i.e., SportsCenter) mention it. If the Bears have cap room, it could work out. As I understand it, they shouldn't have to give up much talent, as Bledsoe's contract will make him difficult to trade.

Best move : Chargers trading down from #1 pick and getting LaDanian Tomlinson and Drew Brees.
Worst move : Marty Schottenheimer - $10 mil for one 8-8 season. Sheesh.
Next move : Dungy to Indianapolis.

Best: Keeping Kordell at the helm when no one else would have, including me...
Worst: Elvis to Baltimore, although, I'm glad.
Next: Ray Lewis to E's worst dressed list!
Where are you Raven's bandwagoneers now?

"Where are you Raven's bandwagoneers now?"
We Ravens fans are still here. But I certainly wouldn't call myself a bandwagoneer! Born in Baltimore, lived there until a few years ago (23 years). Big Colts fan until I was heartbroken when I woke up one snowy morning to find out Bob Irsay had packed up the team in the middle of the night and moved to Indy. So when we got the Ravens, I became a fan of their's ... yes many years ago, not just last year.
As for the current state of the Ravens, losing Jamal Lewis for the season was a backbreaker. No running game put more pressure on the QB (who folded) and thus more pressure on the defense.

I'm no Browns fan, but I'm sure I speak for them when I say, "awwwww poor poor baby."
The NFL made a concerted effort to get a team back to Cleveland. What'd they do for Baltimore?
Tells you which is the better football town.

Those of you who have not heard speculation of Bledsoe to the Bears must be living in a cave. I have not been able to listen to my radio for 2 months without hearing that. On Saturday, Jim Miller said that to replace him with Drew Bledsoe or Trent Dilfer was useless since he is the same thing they are, drop back passers. He said he could understand if he was booted for a more mobile QB. I agree to some extent.
Here are the odds for where Bledsoe will be in 2002:
Detroit 3-1 They can give up #3 pick for him. Open up a new stadium with Bledsoe, David Carr or Joey Harrington, hmmmm.
Dallas 5-1 Better climate to throw passes in, 2 decent WRs, running game on the decline, Jerry Jones needs to win
Baltimore 10-1 Brian Billick hates to admit he's wrong, but he has to be unhappy with Grbac as well as winning with defense. His offensive genious label has already disappeared.
Chicago 15-1 They will have to give up 2 #1's to get him given their picks will be low.
Seattle, Houston, Atlanta and Cincinnati could also make a play. Seattle for the Washington connection. Houston in order to win more games out of the gate; willingness for NE to trade him there speculating it won't hurt them for some time. Atlanta has proved when they get half-decent Qb play, they can play with most teams (crushed GB at Lambeau). Cincy has a solid D, Corey Dillon, and Pete Warrick. Beldsoe could put them in the playoffs.

You may not be a bandwagoneer, but there sure are some out there. All of a sudden, everyone loved your homicidal star, who Amos just happened to bowl over at the goal line.
Besides, by supporting the ravens, you are welcoming an owner that is just as lousy as the one that left you for greener pastures. Did you ever think of it that way? I hope so, because when it comes to a cash infusion, he may leave in the middle of the night again! Good luck keeping the Ravens once times get tough. (We do know that's coming with the cap problems, right?)

KR, it would never actually happen, but imagine if the Jets made a play for Bledsoe to replace an aging, interception-prone Vinny?

There are 2 problems with the Jets getting Bledsoe.
First, New England will not let him stay in the division. There is too much risk in this. Imagine a 34-17 Jets victory in Week 16 (Bledsoe 34-50, 320, 3 TDs) to send the Jets to the playoffs and send New England home. For this reason, the Dolphins are also out.
Second, from everything I have read, the Jets have potential for some SERIOUS cap problems. If they cut Vinny, they take an $8.5 million hit (possibly in 2003, not 2002). A Daily News writer provided some details on the Jets and the cap. Vinny is their man in 2002 unless they cut a flurry of players or find a team willing to take his money.

"Super Bowl XXXV Champs - Baltimore Ravens!"
Ahhh yes, LAST YEAR, right?
Best move: Trading up for Kendrell Bell
Worst move: Ray Lewis buying that outfit
Next move: Brian Billick's ego suffering another losing season with Grbac

Best Move: Priest Holmes to the Chiefs
Worst Move: Because it showed a complete lack of class, I'd say starting Brady over Bledsoe . That aside, Washington trading Brad Johnson (I'm not saying he's a superstar, but he was a good fit for the new Washington offense)
Next Move: Bledsoe and Gruden to Tampa Bay

Isn't that bum in the process of selling his team? It's almost amazing how much cash he's pissed away since his move.

This bad move is more emphasized when you consider the QB that the Redskins went with instead of Johnson : Jeff George - who was the worst fit possible for the new offense.

Abducens...
The fact that the NFL went so nuts to make sure Cleveland got a team does not tell me that they are a better football town. It tells me they've got more whiners than a convention of Oakland Raiders fans (although I agree they were ripped off on that call).
And calling them a better football town?? I don't know if you missed it, but they pretty well embarrassed themselves this year with their beer bottle antics. Looked like a little kid throwing a tantrum.
As for bandwagoneers, sure plenty of them showed up last year. But let's be honest, any time anyone wins the Super Bowl that's bound to happen. I live near St. Louis. I moved here just before the Rams Super Bowl season. During the first few weeks of the season I hardly saw a jersey. But after they won the Super Bowl, they were everywhere.

As a Rams fan, you don't need to tell me that. I won't argue with you, nearly all of them are bandwagon jumpers.
On Baltimore/Cleveland, I've said it before - it doesn't really matter because Cleveland came out ahead. Everyone hates Billick, Modell, Lewis, Sharpe, et al anyway. There was practically a league-wide celebration when the Ravens were finally done away with.

How desperate do you have to be to pick up a QB off the trash heap who hasn't taken a snap in like 5 years? And when said QB's name is Jeff George? There's a reason the Redskins rolled the 3 car into the garage in 2001, after all.
I swear I thought I was dreaming when I saw that on the ticker yesterday.

And sadly, he may be better than 5 or so starters in the NFL right now.
