35, if only because it is a mile from my house, and 260 miles later, I can get off 35W and be at my sister's house in a mile, or get off 35E and be at my mom's house in a mile. Kinda makes all the other interstates irrelevant.

You were worried people would lie about their favorite interstate? They probably will now...

Interstates are overrated. Any decent road trip takes place on the US highway system. Not nearly as fast, but you actually get to see the towns you pass, rather than their names on a big green sign.

I've always wanted to drive I-40 from Wilmington, NC to Barstow, Ca.
Just because.
there are several that are my favorites...the ones that are in just one state.

I-5
only the section north of sacramento. south of that it's just a wasteland, or brutal traffic, or both.
the northern part is a spectacular drive, especially up near lake shasta.
Only interstates? My favorite road is Rte 93. US 93 in the US, continuing on as Canadian 93 in Canada. It follows the rockies N-S across the continent, cutting through national parks in both nations. But it's not an interstate.

http://thelongestlistofthelongeststuffatthelongestdomainn ameatlonglast.com/long402.htmlWhat is the longest Interstate in the U.S.?
The longest Interstate highway in the U.S. starts in Seattle, Washington at 4th Avenue S. next to Qwest Field, and ends in Boston, Massachusetts at Logan International Airport and Massachusetts Route 1A.
Interstate 90, or I-90 for short, covers roughly 3,100 miles or 5,000 kilometers in is trans-American journey.
Driving the speed limit, it would take about four days to traverse the I-90.
Interstate 87, or I-87 for short, is the longest Interstate that does not cross any state lines, it's entirely located in New York and covers 346 miles or 558 kilometers.

http://thelongestlistofthelongeststuffatthelongestdomainn ameatlonglast.com/smallest130.htmlWhat is the smallest Interstate in America?
The smallest, or if you prefer, shortest Interstate in the U.S. is Interstate 878 (I-878) and can be found in New York running 0.70 miles or 1.13 kilometers from Interstate 678 to the JFK Expressway.
The designation as the smallest Interstate in the U.S. applies only to the westbound side of I-878, which is unsigned, unlike the longer, signed eastbound section.
The smallest signed Interstate in the U.S. is the I-375 in Michigan which covers a stately 1.06 miles.

Is it really an "Interstate" highway if it does not cross any state lines?
Sorry lucy
Interstates onlyMeh, be that way. My road not only crosses state lines but national boundaries without losing its name or its character.
(But notice that I managed to sneak it into your discussion, despite your rule.;))

I love that drive. When my wife moved from Seattle to Boston she almost covered all of I 90 in one trip, she exited on the loop outside of Boston.
