GAWD, I love it. A man wins fair & square, calls for his own party to support him, and now the Dems want to "investigate".

I believe that your link indicates the reason the Dems's are complaining is that they think Greene wasn't really nominated by Dem voters.

So... no actual evidence of shenanigans then? Just "how the hell did this guy win"?

PS - Picture, if you will, the racial crapstorm being put together by the media if this situation had occurred in the other major political party.

Republicans are clearly victim to that sort of thing.

If Democrats are smart, they'll let him run unless there's a clear legal reason he can't. He'll be defeated and if Republicans are smart, they'll treat him with respect . . . people voted for him and he's a veteran.

But Democrats are not smart. The implication of the government solutions that the Democrats offer for practically everything is that the people aren't smart enough to be responsible for their own decisions. And here you have evidence of more of this strain of thought. The people aren't smart enough to elect someone competent, so Democratic leadership gets a veto.

No, actually, my link actually shows the Dems rig the game in every election and cannot fathom how it is that people would vote for an "outsider"

P.S. - If the Dems had brains, they'd rally around this guy with, "See, we're paying attention to the public. We have proudly nominated an outsider. And isn't it terrific that our democratic process shows anyone can be elected!"

It does seem possible someone fronted him the $$ which is illegal and he would be disqualified.

I don't get the plan though.

Lets give a random candidate $10,400 and cross our fingers that he wins but not campaign in anyay

The GOP ran something like this twenty years ago - some ex con or something - just pay the money and embarras the opposing party. This time, it's a blank untraceable check apparently. My guess is that Greene will be the last person to tell you who fronted the money . . . he wants to win.

And anytime they find the public not behind them, it's always "We failed to get our message out," rather than their message having been heard, understood and soundly rejected.

But that's another thread.

You mean Reese and Matthew Broderick?

I'm sad she got divorced. And I'm sad Ferris Bueller married a horse.

I don't understand hollywood.

Matthew Broderick killed someone in a drunk driving accident in Ireland

South Carolina Democratic Party Chair Carol Fowler asked Greene to step down last week, following media reports that he is facing a felony charge.

Public records from the Richland County Fifth Judicial Circuit show that Greene was arrested on November 12, 2009, and charged with "disseminating, procuring or promoting obscenity."

"We are proud to have nominated a Democratic ticket this year that, with the apparent exception of Mr. Greene, reflects South Carolina's values. Our candidates want to give this state a new beginning without the drama and irresponsibility of the past eight years, and the charges against Mr. Greene indicate that he cannot contribute to that new beginning. I hope he will see the wisdom of leaving the race," she said in a statement.

I think it's funny that the party of Bill Clinton doesn't think this guy reflects their values.
