That was the most dramatic women's match I have ever seen. I was rooting for JCap, but I could not help but feel for Hingis. They both put in a great effort in absolutely grueling conditions.

I think Capriati will need to be fitter to defend her French Open title. She looks about ten pounds heavier than last year, and the French is pretty demanding with long points and all.

BTW, in the non-Kournikova (top player) vote for most attractive, I'd have to go with Hingis.

i don't know how anyone can say that capriati isn't fit after watching her play a 2 1/2 hour match in 100+ degree heat. she may have added a little weight, but it looks like muscle to me. hingis (esp. with those 2 foot faults in a row) was utterly spent physically and mentally by the middle of the 3rd set.

mca - capriati's right up there on my list of sexiest female athlets, but i don't think anyone will surpass suzy hamilton any time soon.

I didn't mean to imply she wasn't fit. She is very fit, and certainly very strong. But she is not as fit as she was, IMO. And to compete with the Sisters' Williams, I think she needs to get back to the quickness she had a year ago.

Had never heard of Suzi until 5 minutes ago. I concur she is immediately at or near the top of the list. Anna K is still my #1 though. I dig that ice-queen stuff.

The Suzi pics aren't very risque at all. I'd have posted one, but they have "Property of Suzi Favor Hamilton" plastered on 'em and no specific urls I could identify. I try not to be to obvious when I "borrow" material.
