Seriously, we need you for fairness and balance, otherwise we will return to being an echo chamber. When I am the leftist one on a discussion board, that is not good.

Best poster in political, very complex.
Not a good day.
HH, you have been blessed with above-average intelligence and an amazing education. You should continue to participate in politics, otherwise you send the wrong message to people.
Set an example for everyone by your continued participation.

what's with the new alts already, HH?
also, how is this departure different from last time?

I would be content to be the left-most poster on the AO. Heck, I'd be content to be the left-most voter in the country.
Everyone, get to the right of Browncoat!

I predict the only person HH will keep his word longer than is Obama.
Maybe he is just trying to be more like the 'One'. Closer to God or something like that.

certainly would make for a dull discussion board and not sure a country I would want to live in (at least if the there was no counterweight to the social and militiaristic rightists)

Honestly, I've never understood how so many people can rack up these ridiculous post totals, like 20,000+. I consider myself a fairly regular poster and as you can see, I'm nowhere close. Not that I care, it's just somewhat mind boggling. :tfh:

Seriously though, what if the echo chamber is saying the equivalent of "the sky is blue"?
Do we really need some clown balancing with outlandish posts saying it is purple?

some bounce between alts to keep the count down. or so i'm told.

I don't know about American Actuary, but I'm definitely not an alt.
I suppose I liked HH because I'm quite liberal in my politics. The board is so right wing that I hardly ever come into Political.
You should vist more often. Even things up a bit.

Using this logic, you dislike almost every poster on this forum.

My thoughts exactly. If last time was any indication, HH will be back in about a week and a half.
So when does the Woodrow Wilson alt come along?

Hang around for a few years; the right will get into power, make some asinine decisions, and the board will veer left in response.

Don't know, are you embarrassed by the Obama hating trolls? They are pretty foolish too, though often funny. Remiliard and HH are pretty much equal in their foolishness. no? And Remiliard was a national debate champion or something, pretty embarrassing.

I'm not going to spend a post point-by-point trashing a poster (or persona) who just left. Just seems gratuitous. So I'll just say that, no, I don't think that remilard is a mirror-image equivalent.

That's not true. Unless there is someone named remiliard different from me who you are talking about.
If I wanted to pick arguments on my terms and always win them, I could do that, some people here do that. Doesn't seem much fun to me.

Must be someone else....I find you entertaining, keep up the good work, the Journo list thing is hilarious....don't become an argumentative prick like me.

Well I was a regional champion in cross examination debate and foreign extemporaneous speaking my junior year of high school. No national championship though.
Anyway, you are probably thinking of me but if I claimed a national championship I was lying.
I'd like to think in either of those events I would have seemed like a different person than I am posting in political here and if you met me in a more normal environment I would seem different than either.

Fiscally, yes, the political posters are fairly conservative. Socially though, is another story.
