I saw bozo on tv when I was a kid. So yeah, back in 1982-3 I'd say.

It appears to be threaded and not a spring. Almost like some sort of inverted leg leveler. Possibly a support for a projector for raising/lowering the front angle.

And I watched Bozo (Chicago version) quite a bit growing up, which would take back into the same era HJ mentions.

According to the show's wiki page, it was still being made until 2001: "In 2001, station management controversially ended production citing increased competition from newer children's cable channels."

what is the GD answer?

General Apathy
10-20-2010, 02:28 PM
Create filled cupcakes in three easy steps with the Chicago Metallic Cupcake Plunger. The plunger is easy to use and allows you to produce fanciful cupcakes that will have guests wondering how you made them. Use the plunger to remove the core of baked cupcakes or muffins then fill the resulting center with icing, ice cream, frosting, fruit or anything else you can imagine. Take your cupcakes to the next level with the Chicago Metallic Cupcake Plunger.

So it IS a spring.

Now why do you need filled cupcakes? Isn't the proper way of eating them to tear them in half and put the topping in the middle and eat it like a susi-q?
