I was wondering what the most beneficial seminar for C is. I went to live seminars for both MLC and MFE and would say that the MFE seminar was a bit of a waste of study hours/money, but MLC was definitely worth it. I was thinking of using TIA for C, but was wondering if there were any really good live seminars out there for C (like Batten for MLC) that would be better.

Also is ASM still the way to go with C?

I'd recommend ASM+TIA. I passed C in November using this approach. There is a lot of material, the sooner you get started the better.

Did the same thing...you'll have more than enough material to keep you busy, and you'll be very prepared

Thanks for the feedback. I'll be ordering TIA / ASM next week

For those of you that used ASM + TIA, did you do the TIA online seminar, or TIA Live seminar? Did you have a preference between the TIA live vs. online?

I think you are confusing the online seminar and the live seminar. they are two different concepts..one you learn the material just like you would with asm (i printed out the slides and put them in binders) and the other is a review.

I did both TIA online and live for MFE, and realized they are almost identical. The only obvious difference is the presence of an instructor and the ability to ask questions. I guess it is up to you if you could do the live seminar and get an additional study guide, or both TIA sessions.

The TIA online seminar for C is taught by Dave Revelle. He is an excellent instructor and if you email him a question, he responds very quickly. So in that respect, it is better to do online because it saves you time, which when it comes to exam prep is more valuable than money.
