Has anyone figured out if there are practice exams and how to access them? AICPCU customer service told me that they are available on the web-site but I don't see practice exams for CAS courses.
I have studied the majority of the material before so I hoped to try practice exam and then decide how much i need to study and when i can take it.

Perhaps they're not available until the Exam window for which you signed up

I hope not! That would be really mean if they didn't open up the practice exams until the exam window opened up. I'm registered for the 3rd day in the window - that wouldn't leave me much time to take them!

Have you seen the quizzes after each section of each assignment? It's not a true practice test, but it should give you an idea of where you stand in each section. It's only a few questions per section, but it looks like the questions change when you retake the quiz, so it provides a lot of practice questions. Maybe that's what the AICPCU are talking about when they said there were practice tests?

Again - I really hope not! I've been doing the quizzes a bunch of times at the end of each section. But you can only do one section at a time, so the questions for that quiz are all over the same material. It's not even close to practicing answering 75 multiple choice questions over the whole material.
Edit: Also, the questions do change each time you take the quiz, but there's still a limited number of questions per section. I would say probably about 5 per small section, maybe as much as 10 for a larger one. How I've been doing it is taking the quiz multiple times, until I stop seeing new questions. Normally I take it 4-8 times, and there is generally only 1 new question per quiz after the first one.

This is the AICPCU response:
"The practice exam questions are included in the Knowledge Checks and quizzes provided with the online course. There are no actual practice exams for this course."
Should we complain to CAS and request practice exams?

I just did! I emailed Leanne Wieczorek because she had "online courses" listed next to her name. I'll let you know what I find out - but I'm sure it will help if multiple people email about it!

If the AICPCU can confirm that the online quiz questions will be similar in difficulty and style to the actual exam questions, then I won't be as upset by this. Either way, it still puts us at a disadvantage being in the first test window if they can't give us a true practice exam.

I got a response back already!
Here's what it says:
I contacted The Institutes and was told that a practice exam is being prepared and should be accessible from the online course itself at the end of this month.
So we will get something! Hooray!

Nice! Thank you, Button!
I contacted CAS on couple other issues before and they were good at responding. Though they didn't accept my case that Course 2 is the same as old exams 5 and 6 - they still answered that no credit without old exam 7. Though they aknowledged that the repeating material is the downside of the transition. I am sure I am not the only one who doesn't understand why the new exam structure is better. Still 9 exams total plus two 2-hour course exams - it means total exam hours have increased :(

Exams for the two Courses are all MC . . . I'll take that over short answer any day of the week.
The biggest change overall wrt new syllabus is the increase in the ERM material covered on the new Exam 7.
