Congratulations!
Thank you for participating.
I actually suffered a number of bad beats during this tournament. Including a HUGE one with three players left. I played my A game the whole tournament. I remember after 128 hands I had only seen one showdown! That's the way I like to play NL.

Another interesting note is Freeman won a $200 multi-table tournament NL tournament at Paradise at the exact same time (well his finished up about 30 minutes before mine). His only had 50 players so my payout was actually more.

If anyone wants a copy of the hand history PM me your email address.

You're on the partypoker cruise? No, just the poker stars cruise. I'm going to the JAM6 seminar the same time as the party poker cruise.

Congratulations. Have you ever played NL in person before? Will you wear glasses or a hat, and how good are your nerves? My nerves would give me away, unless I was able to do everything the exact same way every time. Hopefully, it gets better with practice.

I also like to wear headphones.

How long did that tournament take?

A question for all - How do you know when you are ready to go to the "next level" of tournament play? Or even higher limits ring games I guess. I have found since I have started playing more tournaments, that I am pushing my marginal hands too far in ring games.

Congratulations Bama. Good luck on the Cruise, not that you need luck the way you play. :)

Are you studying for course 6 yet, or are you waiting until after the cruise?

I don't think there is any hard and fast rule.

I tried to start studying for 6 but couldn't do it. I plan on starting the Monday after I get back from the cruise (Jan 26th). I'm using BPP and going to JAM6. After flipping thru the BPP manual it looks pretty good. If I have to take 5 over I will get BPP.

I actually like to wear headphones so people won't talk to me. You hear the same BS over and over. It can get old.

The last time Bama won a poker game :)
