Is there any way to recover a post that I seem to have lost?

I may have clicked a wrong button while trying to review a thread and reply to it.

Are you saying you replied to the wrong thread? You could hit the search link and try to find it that way.

No, I think I canceled or abandoned a reply that I intended to submit.

Then probably not. Your reply lives only in your browser's memory until you hit the submit button. If the back button on your browser doesn't rescue it, nothing will.
