Let me guess --
You moonlight at the Cattlemen's Inn.
You're going to a Hoe-Down immediately after work.
You're meeting with a Texan.
You're very, very, very strange.

Cowboy hats will keep your head warm, but don’t wear them indoors, unless it is a fashion statement, in which case I recommend against that. A cowboy hat is good protection against the snow, but no snow in Chicago today. It isn’t that windy either.
I respect your independence. I bet there are others who will laugh or create internet polls to spoil your day. At least you aren't wearing silk undies!

It's only weird if you also drove a midsize or smaller sedan or a minivan to work, unless you're a real cowboy. Then you can pretty much wear anything but a sundress or pantyhose and it would be ok.

weird, I said yes.
but not so odd that I'd stop and point and giggle. I'd make comments all day.
But it's not like you are wearing a lampshade.

Was he wearing a Purdue Boilermakers T-shirt?

Just remember only cowboys in Nashville tuck the jeans in the boots. When that steaming pile rolls down your leg, the last place you want it to go is in the boot.

NO!
Sadly, you really don't see many cowboy hats at Purdue. The agriculture guys are more into mesh hats.

Once I was walking past the Farmhouse Fraternity at Purdue and a massive truck with huge mudding tires drove off the street, over the curb, and into the yards. When it stopped, about 10 guys looking like you just described jumped out of the back of it. I just shook my head and walked away.

You left out an important part. Was it a Ford, Chevy, or Dodge?

Oh, I saw Ahow too. He's my roommate.
On another note, I saw either the same Cowboy hat guy or a new one today! Ahow, apparently you're just not as original as you think. :shake:

If it's cold out, and you dug out the Cowboy hat for outdoor use, that is not very weird. A tad eccentric, at best, since it is Chicago.

If you wore it indoors, that is weird.I just got it for Xmas. I wore it again today. I really like it. My dad helped me pick it out. I am wearing it to the bar tonight, I think.

ahow, is yours a winter cowboy hat with ThinsulateTM by 3M? Does it have flaps to fold down to cover your ears and keep them warm? If not, I know where you can get some good aftermarket earflaps installed.

If not, I know where you can get some good aftermarket earflaps installed. It is a wool cowboy hat, but I don't really need the earflaps. I may need to get a straw cowboy hat come summer. I hear the wool can get quite stuffy.

Is the wool itchy?
Is the wool itchy? No, it has a leather band around the inside rim and silk liner, so the wool never touches your skin. But it still holds in the heat from your head well. You really should pick one up.

Do you remove your hat when a lady walks into your cubicle?
Do you remove your hat when a lady walks into your cubicle?I haven't been wearing it when I sit in my cube, like I said, the wool is warm. Oh yeah, and no ladies have walked into my cube (minor detail).

CST. Standard Time. :D
CST. Standard Time. :DCDT = Central Daylight-savings Time. Yes, it is that time of the year now folks. No sun after 4pm. At Purdue (Indiana for the most part), we don't even celebrate Daylight Savings. That was really nice, except for we were on East time and Central time for half of each year.

 What are you doing this April to celebrate? We're hosting a countdown party where we all stay up until 2 am, then all change our watches to 3 am while drinking champagne. Our October parties are sometimes challenging, because some people drink too much champagne and forget that they already changed their clocks from 3 am to 2 am an hour earlier.

I think you mean EST all year long, which happens to be the same as central time in the summer (CDT).

I don't believe in it and I don't like people pushing their beliefs on me. If it was a religious holiday, I could deal with it. But these secular holidays just bug me to no end.

Last year was my first time change. We went to a bar that is usually open until 4:30am, but they closed at 3:30am due to the time change. We felt cheated out of an hour of drinking so 3 of us went to someone's apartment and drank until 8:30 in the morning. We sure showed those time changing *******s a thing or two. I think they learned their lesson...

It started out as just another Hallmark holiday, but we decided to turn it into something fun instead.
