When I took this test on February, by the time I finished, I figured that if I wasn't going to pass, I'd be pretty damn close. Unfortunately, with a score of 3, I thought I would do way better than that. I used TIA alone and found the real questions similar to the practice problems on those seminars, so that's why I was a little confident when I took the real thing.

I don't suppose there's any way to find out what exactly you got wrong, right? Chances are, it was the stuff on durations and derivatives that hurt me the most because those were one of my weaker areas during studying, but I've also been known to make arithmetic mistakes even on the easy topics during times I did practice problems. I'd set up the problem correctly, but hit a wrong button my calculator and get the wrong answer.

However, I was fairly confident I didn't make any arithmetic/silly mistakes on the questions I thought were easier. Similarly, although I'm sure I got more of the derivatives questions wrong, there were some I felt that I got well right off the bat. Of course, this was 2 months ago so I don't remember too much and I really can't post it here anyway.

What should someone like me do to prepare for next time?

Practice. For topics you felt you were weak on, more practice! Keep at it and you'll pass eventually.

What herrMrtn said. You need to practice a lot and keep practicing. If you used TIA, there are plenty of practice problems in the seminar. Do them all. Time yourself (5 mins max) and try to finish each problem within that time constraint.
