Exam 6c study package says it assume knowledge of module 2 - is it a must to know the material in module 2 before writing 6c?

I don't think it's a must to write the exam for Course 2 before the sitting. It is a must to know the material. The syllabus says that it assumes the candidate has completed course 2 since it has important background knowledge for two of the sections.

Note that you can sign up for the course w/o committing to a specific testing window--although you have 1 year to take the test.

If you have the $500 (+/-), you might just sign up for the Course and review the relevant sections along with studying for the Exam.

Keep in mind that if you passed old 5 and 6 already, there's only 3 out of 16 sections in Course 2 that will be new to you - two on Ins Law, and one on Ins Regulation. I'd proly pay for the module now and review those 3 sections (which will take maybe a few days). A review of section 1 - accounting may be useful too.
