Are they worth buying?

If so, which of the following should I get?

Textbook
Course Guide
SMART Package

The only advantage that I've seen regarding the textbook is that it makes life easier when the servers are slow. But is the material available online as part of the course?

Please let me know what you think.

If you're paying for it, don't waste your money. Everything you need is online, although it's a pain in the ass to be frank. If someone else is paying, the textbook will make your life easier because you won't need to be playing Where's Waldo to find the clickables online. The content is straightforward enough that you won't need 3rd party study manuals.

Course Guide contains questions that can serve the role as a study manual. Includes answers to those questions as well (usually verbatim from the on-line material). I believe the cost is $66.

Might be useful if you're not very familiar with insurance operations in general.

I am going to be paying for it myself. So I guess I should get the online course for $525 and see if it works out before getting any supplemental materials.

a couple of students that i work with passed these modules already and stated that the online course is sufficient.

How big is the textbook? Is it small/compact enough for me to take on the train?

Or is it possible to print out the material from the online course? Since studying for this doesn't require any writing it would be perfect for the train.

At the end of each chapter in the online course there is a chapter review/summary that you can print out...if you print them all out its about one inch thick.

Not likely . . . I'm sure that much of the material in Course 1 is contained in that text (it was on the old Exam 5 syllabus), but not all of it.

And I'm not sure that you'll find a mapping of the Course material to the relevant sections of the Nyce text that would make it worth getting.

But that's JMO.
