New Acuador Ipod Business No Joke looking for employee/partner

Hello all. I know sometimes I say no joke when I am joking but I am really not joking in the here and now.


My friend just cam eback from a study abroad thing in Ecuador. He was telling me about it and even though labor and food and stuff is dirt cheap, electronics and technology is way overpriced and must be bought on the black market. Ipods could easily go for $1200 each.

I am looking for someone to go to Ecuador and sell Ipods (preferrably to an honest, friend black market dealer named Augusto)

You will be very well compensated and have a free vacation in Ecuador (It's beautiful there, really)

I am confident that AO is the perfect place for this.

The high price must reflect very high import tarrifs, so if Ecudarian customs catches you in the act expect to end up dead in a prison in the jungle somewhere. Not a good opportunity cost.

My last company had a bunch of people up from Brazil for a few days, and they wanted to go shopping during all their free time for this reason. I guess everything Western is about 1/3 the price in the US.

Why don't you just ship "parts" of the ipod to your friends "electronics repair business". Split ipod into 3 and then ship 3 times. Friends puts them together and sells them. Register a business with city and put up a fake ipod repair busienss site. Far safer and I doubt their customs guys are that savvy. You can even do this with other countries.
