View Full Version : Finishing with Time Remaining

While perusing the forums, I often see people mention the time that they had remaining after finishing the exam. Unfortunately, and frighteningly, most people claim to finish with no time remaining. My question is, are these people talking about the time they had left when they submitted? Or did they have no time left after going through all the questions one time?
How much time did you have leftover after you first completed all of the questions you could (don't include time used to review your answers)?

Here are my stats:
P: 45 minutes
FM: 1 hour
MFE: 30 minutes
MLC: 25 minutes
C: 5 minutes
I've found that I perform at my best when I work at a somewhat deliberate pace and try to get the problems right the first time. I usually did, as long as I solved the problems at a slow enough rate.
Time pressure was never a concern since I knew I would almost certainly pass if I got through at least 25 problems. I had a high enough an accuracy rate where I didn't have to worry about getting through all the problems.

If these are all passes, I'm thoroughly, thoroughly, impressed.
I sat there and watched the clock run out. lol

I had an hour left after the first run through P. At that point I had answered 18 confidently. By the end of the test I answered 24 confidently. I guessed on 5. Passed.

I got through the first pass on Exam P with an hour left on the clock, but there were about 3 questions that I didn't finish, and about 4 that I completely passed on right after reading the question. I also had 5, I think, questions that I answered, but wasn't 100% sure of.
Then again, I scored a 6, so these might be the 12 questions, or so, that I got wrong >.<

I had an hour left or so on P and got a 10. If you're super prepared and really know your business, you can finish very early. I was mega nervous and made lots of stupid calculator errors; still finished early. There is NO NO NO NO shame in using all your time. I'd feel silly submitting early and failing.
