Has anyone seen a recently-published article by any actuarial body that includes modelling methodology and results of a Consumer-Driven Health Plan (either on a full replacement or side-by-side option basis)

Thanks,

No. :D

Seriously, though, we haven't had large companies offer them exclusively, and those that have have gotten so little participation that the assumptions hardly matter in the short term. I assume that you're talking about antiselection and year-over-year carryover and utilization type of assumptions?

Yes, I'm interested in seeing ways used to model costs in the short- and long-term.

The AAA has published a monograph:
1-05-04 Consumer-Driven Health Plans - Issues raised by plans with health reimbursement accounts

Not a bad read, but definitely not prepared for a techincal audience

Anyone have a math-nerd version of such a paper?
