That's how it'll have to be if they want to live in a word with iPads and Twitter. The interwebz won't keep running for free...or most services for that matter. If you can't find a way to be happy without mindlessly consuming, who's fault is that?
There's plenty of remote forest area if they want to free themselves from the shackles of capitalism though. They just better know how to hunt, cook, make clothes, and build shelter.

Probably most people lived there lives this way before there were mega-corporations. They just didn't feel all pissed-off about it.
