Thoughts on exam?

I thought the exam was moderately difficult.

Which questions did you think were difficult? How did you handle them? Which questions did you think were less difficult?

SOA officially announced results will be out January 13th. Here's to 9.5 more weeks of waiting, ugh.

I sat for the US exam and thought it was fair. There wasn't any particular question that caught me off-guard. The plan governance question was most difficult for me and I had a small error on the expense calculation that flowed through the entire problem (used 2 yrs instead of 3), but other than that I felt like I was at least somewhat prepared on the remaining questions.

Yeah, I agree that the US test was pretty fair. Governance question was definitely open ended. I think I also listed 5 items instead of 4, don't think they'll dock me for it, but don't think it will help my case either.

The expense calculation question was definitely different than the past. No need to incorporate NOC's actual executive plan in their right? I assumed it was seperate.

Correct, it was separate from NOC NQ plan.

Don't know that I can wait 8 more weeks; they've got to figure out a way to grade these things faster. Although 10 weeks for an essay exam isn't unreasonable, I still don't like it.
