My kids wanted a specific coloring book yesterday, and while trying to find it, I found where my wife hid my Chanukah gift. She bought me Settlers of Catan. Nice!

I have the computer version, and I had the regular one years ago, when I was still living with my parents. That one is still in my parents' house, and my younger siblings use it all the time. Most of my friends living near me have it, so if we want to play, we just use one of theirs. My wife doesn't like it too much, so we don't really need one for just the two of us.

pft. As if the original doesn't have enough rules. I'm a big fan of the original, but pretty iffy on C&K. Just way too much going on, and IMO brings more luck into the game which I'm never a fan of.


For those of you doing the ski trip, I'll be sure to bring mine with me :)

Settlers was a good vehicle for bringing Euro games to the US, but there are so many now that have surpased it.
