Anyone finding it difficult to decide between studying vs. playing poker?
Are your passing percentage going to suffer because of poker?
Are you considering changing careers so you can play more?
What career (poker player doesn't count)?
Any other good questions for those with a poker obsession?
One side note. Ordered 50 decks of canceled casino cards on ebay. Received 100 by mistake. Should be set for the next year or so.

Double check those cards. I was hosting a 2 table tourny last weekend and ordered some of those and in each of the 4 decks, there were visable markings in the corner of no more than 4 cards per deck. I am not sure how they got there, but that certainly rendered those decks unplayable. Sadly, I finished 17th out of 21 in my own tourny :(

Not really a problem for me since I don't usually play poker during the week and I usually don't study on weekends. When it gets closer to exam time I will stop playing poker on the weekends and try to get some studying done. Hopefully I will be finished with the exams this November. Where is the crossing my fingers emotion?

Thanks for the tip. I've never had problems with canceled cards, but I had bought them from the casino. These may be the low end, though. Two packs in, and they were fine.

Poker mostly replaces other activities such as watching TV, so I don't anticipate it being a big problem. I'm down to my last exam (already FSA, one more for EA) and I've taken it before, so it shouldn't be a huge time commitment anyway. Once it gets down to crunch time, there is enough riding on this that I will be willing to stay away from the tables for a while.

You can always do flash cards and such while playing low limit poker. If you play tight enough to make money, you will probably fold around 2/3 of your hands anyways. 3 hours of poker with studying should be worth about 1 1/2 of studying.
If you are tired and about to pack it in for the night, this might actually result in more studying being done then otherwise. Poker helps you pass exams...

I play $50/$1 tables while studying. Actually, i have started playing Omaha 8 while studying because you fold more often.
