The only exams that I failed twice are 150 and ........................course 7 seminar (I actually failed the pre-test on my first attempt). I really do not know how to pass this seminar. For this exam, I feel like playing slot machines at the race track ( actually I do not play slots or go to the race track, would rather play cards at the casino), those 3 sevens will show up eventually if I keep on playing.

I passed courses 1-6, 8, and 10 PD. I figure that, by feeding the SOA $1000 every 2 months, I can see the 3 sevens by the end of 2005. If things go as planned, I will be able to finish my PD by the end of 2006, just before the SOA changes the rules again. But...........the $1000 and the airfare, and hotel may have to come out of my own pocket. This can be devastating on the my casino visit frequency :)

There are really no excuses for flunking the darn seminar twice, with the pass rate of 84%. But then, I may flunk it again. Those 3 sevens are hard to come by.

So sorry, hopper...

I cannot offer advice, as I have never had to take course 7.

Do you know if I can still sign up for the Atlanta course 7 if I just found out I failed the Chicago one on Friday?

Hi Hopper, You can write to the SOA to discuss the result after you received the brief analysis of your result. Take this opportunity to understand why you fail.

Don't feel bad about this. I failed the Boston seminar before. I know clearly why I fail and make it up in the December seminar.

It is important to find out why you fail the seminar. I am sure you can do better next time.
