I'd like to get some opinions on whether or not it is worthwhile to watch all of the video lessons for this exam. I've only watched the first 5 or so, but so far it seems like Ken is just reading his outlines without adding much new insight. Granted, the first few chapters are very vocabulary based, so I'm wondering if the videos become more useful as the chapters get into some of the applied techniques.

Right now I'm thinking I may focus on the papers and the TIA study outlines and just consult the videos if I have trouble with any topics (although I've read the papers and there were very few parts that didn't go smoothly). Anyway, I'd appreciate it if anyone would share their experience or opinions on the matter.

Thanks,
WF

I took Exam 5 last spring and managed to past it on the first try with two months of studying using only TIA's videos. I started reading the texts but found that Ken's outlines did a very good job of summarizing.

You're correct that the first few are pretty boring. Ken does (in later videos) do more than read the manual. There are many instances of him working examples and old problems within the videos that are not included in the manuals. Also, he gives his opinion on how they might ask certain topics (briefly describe, list, etc.) that is not mentioned anywhere in the manuals.

My personal recommendation would be to stick with the videos and actually watch them multiple times.

Hard to argue with that result. I'll stick with the videos then. Thanks for your input, JJM.
