What actuarial jobs are there in the Washington D.C. area? I'm willing to check out either life/health/pension/casualty since I'm not past the 4 exam point of no return. Is there an easy way to find out what actuarial employers are out there?

Go to the SOA directory of actuarial memberships.

Do a search on Washington D.C. or any nearby place you would consider working.

Thanks, I had no idea it was that easy.

I found pension, health & casualty jobs in our database in the DC area. You are welcome to fill in a form (http://www.dwsimpson.com/cform.html) if you would like a recruiter to touch base with you about them. - Claude

And if you can't get a real job, there's always GEICO.

Anyone else a little creeped out at the overzealousness of a certain HH here?

Dude, it just smacks of commercialism.

Hi DTNF, I just answer direct questions as I do my other work through the day. If it helps, I'm glad that I was able to provide additional information. If it doesn't help, you're free to skip my posts. - Claude

I'm still creeped out. Just a feeling, not going to lead to action. I respect your right to post. But you can't stop me from feeling creeped out.
Like, "Hi, little girl, you want some candy?" creepy.
DON'T YOU COME NEAR MY ROOMMATE CHARLES' NIECE!

Someone did ask after all. It's not like he just went into, say, the Olympics threads and said - "Hey everyone! Come fill out a form! I've got lots of great positions in the DC area!" Now that might be a little creepy.

Yes, give Claude a break. He only offers when asked. (I might need Claude's help soon!)
