He was in So Cal this morning. Not sure why. Best I can tell, it was for a fundraiser. Do the taxpayers foot the bill for him to do something like that? It ain't cheap to send his entourage cross country.

We paid for his vacation in Hawaii, so why not a campaign stop. That's all the last 2 SOTU speeches were.

Yup, Obama is once again doing stuff that no other president has done. It's the end of the world as we know it. And I feel fine.

Pretty sure he has to declare whether it was Presiential business or not and the campaign pays for the non-Presidential business. Some things (for example, Secret Service) the campaign never pays, but if he flies to CA and it's just for campaign purposes, pretty sure the campaign covers the cost of the flight and such.
And, as Harry points out, it's the same for every other President.

All I know is that the poor folks on the Westside were going to have their afternoon commutes affected.

Pretty sure I complained about Bush doing this, too.
You complained about it probably, too.
Now I am still complaining and you are not. So while you implied I was being hypocritical, you were actually being hypocritical.

That's one of my favorite things about 2Pac. He is hostile to all American Presidents.

I didn't support it either. I think the whole campaigning thing is a waste of money. People complain that Obama goes on vacation. People claim that he campaigns. I say he is no different than his predecessors so my complaints about them stand for him too. I don't have to make it seem like the sky is falling because Obama did it too.
