Hello all,

I'm starting a new job in the P&C field in a couple weeks and have started mapping out my long-range study plan. I've already passed exams 1, 2, 3F, and MLC, but I'm not going to have enough time to adequately prepare for the May sitting of exam 4. As such I have targeted the fall sitting of exam 4, which gives me a little extra time this spring. I was thinking of knocking out online courses in the next couple of months before I begin studying for exam 4.

Is there any negatives to taking the online courses at this stage of my exam progress?

What aspect will you be working? Pricing personal lines (like auto or homeowners)? Pricing Workers Comp? Reserving? Consulting?

However, Taking the On-line Courses now won't be a waste of time.

And I would recommend targeting the Aug sitting for Exam 4/C (perhaps that's your intent when saying "this fall").

I will be starting in personal lines auto or commercial lines auto for a large insurance company (the final decision hasn't been made yet). The next two sittings of exam 4 are in May and October. There isn't an August sitting.

Definitely do both online courses. They'll help you start to get an understanding of the business decisions your supervisors will be needing to deal with.
