This is my first upper-level exam and I just have a quick question:

When working on problems with long decimals (i.e. calculating the CDFs for the B-F method of loss development) I notice that old exam problems are somewhat inconsistent in how many decimal places they're rounding to. I have always done 3 significant digits. How does this effect the grading of problems if I'm only 1 dollar off, but it's due to rounding?

Thanks!

From Werner & Modlin:

Rounding procedures have been applied in a manner consistent with the number of decimals shown in the text and tables (or per rounding procedures specifically outlined in the text).

Don't worry about "rounding errors." You shouldn't lose any points as a result of that if you follow the general rounding process(es) within the text(s).
