Last night i played in 2 $5 sng's.

In the second hand of the first i get QQ in the sb. UTG raises all in right away. I take the full time limit (partially to discuss with Bama who happened to be kicking some tail in his SnG's (albeit he got a couple of nice breaks) but still took some good play to go along with the breaks). I decide to call... I'm up against AA, no help bye bye $5.50. time to open a new SnG.

In the second hand of the this tourney i get TT i mid to late position. One limp, one raise to 60 in front of me, I reraise to 200 limper calls and the raiser reraises to 340. <joe schmoe voice> "What is going on" </voice> i decide to just call, limper also calls. Flop comes 56J rainbow. Limper checks, raiser bets 300, i decide i better leave the hand before i go again in the second hand. limper calls, turn x, check, raise all in, and a call...
nothing special on the river. The limper had JQclubs and the raiser had 88.
Raiser goes bye bye. limper doubles up plus my 300.

I play it prett safe most of the rest of the tournament until my "rock" status has been defined then i pick up a couple of pots with value bets.
Down to 4 players me and other short stack have ~2000 each (i got him covered by less than a bb which is 200 by now) I get AhTs in the bb, other small stack comes in for 600 utg, big guys fold, and now tired of this guy picking up the blinds, plus he rivered me a few hands ago chasing a gutshot and hitting his one over on the river, plus i have a decent hand i decide to call. Pot is 1400 (sb and antes) flop comes 45T two hearts. I figure i just flopped top pair and there is a flush and striaght draw out there i better take the pot now, i get my all in called (i'll have just enough to pay the sb and ante next hand if i lose) cards flip my top pair is now up against a set of 5's :swear: Turn comes 9h, ok i get a 1:6 to hit the flush on the river which comes Qh. :D :D :D wheww. now i'm even stacked vs the other 2. again i calm down a little steal a mid sized pot or two with a timely bet and end up winning the event.
