To determine the correct ratio, do a three parameter MLE.

Yti represents posting frequency at time t of the day.

x1i represents the swearing ratio at time i.

x2i represents the flirting ratio at time i.

b1 is the swearing coefficient. b2 is the flirting coefficient.

ei is the residual.

Model Yi = b1X1i + b2X2i + ei

Assume that all ei have a mean of 0 and an equal variance sigma^2.

Solve for the MLEs of b1 and b2.

b1/b2 should be the correct ratio.
