View Full Version : CSM-Course 3
Can anyone recommend using the CSM? I am currently studying Batten's Georgia State seminar notes, and Professor Cox's Loss Models study manual. Please provide feedback on the usefulness of the CSM manual to supplement Batten's Life Contingencies study materials. Thanks.

CSM is laden with problems, perhaps too many. It presents no theory save for a ton of formulas. It would be a good adjunct if you were working from the textbooks or HTP for the life con. part - can't speak for Batten/Cox. Essentially, it helps you get down the fundamentals by repetition.
Thanks for the input. I have seen several posts, in which the CSM seems to be a common thread. I am using the Actex for additional problems, as well. I will continue to proceed through Batten and Cox, applying this knowledge to the Actex problems. Again, I really appreciate your input.
