I worked with one of the women on the '98 Olympic team in college.
She was a tough chick, but very straight.

That effort by the U.S. women was one of the worst displays of "hockey" I've ever seen. Not being able to clear the puck from your own zone at even strength on multiple occasions. How pathetic was that?

The 3-2 score doesn't quite tell the full story of how much Canada out-skated, out-passed, out-hustled & out-thought the U.S. last night.

Helps when the ref seems to be a bit biased toward one side. And then she tries to make up for it by calling some the other way - charging call against the American <bold>who had the puck</bold> ?!?! The Americans deserved the silver. (which is not to say they "deserved to lose", because there's no shame in taking the silver home)

I started watching about 10 minutes into the first period. Shortly thereafter Canada was called for 4 penalties in a row, one leaving them 2 down for over a minute. At first I thought the ref was a homer (no not the Springfield native), but then I realized that she is just a really bad referee.
