Minerva claimed on the Suggestion section that actuaries can be well rounded and have a variety of interests.
Share some with us here and maybe how you got interested in it!!
(Post anonymously if you are afraid that your particular interest may out you! Because of that, I'll post mine later in the thread.)

LOL! (thanks, josh! I needed that!)
Josh, we'll have to compare collections some time. And macroman, you and I should get together sometime, because I love to eat.

I used to wonder the same thing. After beating the russians there I guess there isn't any reason to go anymore.

What TDA said - was there any other purpose to going to the moon besides beating the Russians?

Bodybuilding.
Actually, I have met quite a few consulting actuaries who are near-competition physical shape.....oh, and on the kick of consulting actuaries (and actuaries in general), I can think of one more hobby (lol)
Work, wife, kids, and house. I wish I had time for outsided interests. Fortuneatly (sp?) I'm finished with the exams.

Quilting.
Not exactly an adrenaline rush, but I like hobbies that are quiet and stress relieving, and that can't be done while snacking!
To me, adrenaline is over-rated.

I belive eventually we will find other reasons...such as mining...
I like to cross-stitch, although I'm really behind on the current project.
I also like to bowl (I'm on a league) and I practice tae kwon do.

(*pant, pant*) can I stop now? I know I've missed a few, but you get the idea.
With work and exams, I don't get much time to do any of the above... But since you asked...

Hmmm ... where to start. I bowl in the winter and play golf in the summer (who doesn't?). I like reading (non-actuarial material is preferred). I have a wide variety of movies and music. I follow most major sports that don't involve ice.
And every now and then, I study a little bit.
Skydiving, snowboarding, rollerblading, golf, and underwater basketweaving. <font size=-2>O.K., I made up the last one.

Just "Eat It"!
Oh, and mercilessly teasing actuarial students about how easy the new exam system is. I'm trying to get this included as a demonstration sport at the next Olympics.

42 - a hint. Never let your food out of your sight. Accept nothing not cooked for you by your spouse.
Gee, Lee, did a hit a sore spot re the exams?? Why, back in the old days ...

HA! I took them in the old days and I'm still taking them now. Although this sitting is the last, regardless of the result. Watch your food.

fastpitch softball, triathlons, guitar and piano playing (not at the same time), bowling (which surprisingly is a blast) and tennis, and I want to be a bobsledder, skeleton or luge athlete in the next Winter Olympics (well a little wishful thinking)

Mathmagician, those models are sick! My kids build towers just to knock them down!
My outside interest are scrapbooking, genealogy and mah jongg. I took up some new hobbies in anticipation of more free time. I think that was a bad idea. When am I going to study now?

pilates, weight training, video games
And, due to the amount of time I spend on it, I think avoiding studying through procrastination should count as a hobby!

Tennis is great because you get a workout, takes an hour or two, and you can do it into your 80s.

Music! I play the mandolin in an old timey string band. We play mostly traditional American and Irish fiddle tunes most often for square dances.
