Does anyone have some tips about how to best organize the Course 7 material for the Pre-Test. I know we can use tabs and write notes in the margins of the material, but I'd like to hear from others on what worked and maybe what didn't work.

I just took this in February, so I don't know yet if my strategies worked or not  , but the best thing that I did was to use tabs along the side as a sort of "index" of key terms. By having them alphabetical, it made finding certain topics much easier. I also had dividers for the different study notes labeled with the topic of the note.

Reading over the material 2 or 3 times to make it very familiar was key to this exam. It isn't too bad if you just take some time to familiarize yourself with the material.

Good luck!

this was my strategy:

-Use all 8" along the top and bottom and 11" along the side to put little post-it flag tabs at the beginning of each section (color coding can be helpful too) and label it with a key word and/or chapter number.

-Read through and highlight the key stuff.

-Read through the highlighted parts 2-3 more times

This was sufficient for me to find everything during the test time. The highlighting made it really easy to decide what to write for the essays.

I used a similar method, but put all the landscape notes in one binder and portrait in another. Go through everything enough to know the answers to the easy stuff and where to find the harder stuff. Then if time permits, you can validate your answers to the easy stuff. I also like to at least read all the written questions before I get started so they are in the back of my mind while working.
