Hey guys, I dont know if any of you play this, but as a college student this has been a staple in my daily routine. Now there is a new one out. It is only in demo mode now and easily googled, but what a game. The offical release has six cds or two dvds worth of information on them, and I can't wait to buy it. I was just wondering if anyone else had this obsession and maybe if enough people download the demo we could have our own Rebel Outpost lan party. I'm sure I can finagle a server site through my school :wink: Anyways, love to chat about what you Unreal fans think!

I enjoy UT (the old version) but probably won't get 2K4 until I get a new computer (or at least upgrade my RAM and graphics card - an old GeForce 2).

Does the demo version have multiplayer capability?

Also, I assume you mean TCP/IP instead of LAN, since most of us are in different areas of the country?

Still, it sounds like fun, although I don't know that I'll be able to participate anytime soon.

yes I did mean TCP/IP instead of lan, but I know it as lan... anyways the demo does have multiplayer on it, which is how we would be able to play. I'm not buying the real game anytime soon (only to have fifty dollars :roll: )

Trivia questions about unreal things. Lots of Buffy and Everwood type questions. Close but no cigar... and sorry about that I forgot my audience. It is a first person shooter along the lines of Doom and Halo, but it is free and newer than both of these.

Anyone know if Half Life 2 is out yet or when it's coming out? That's the only FPS I have any interest in playing, although I'll probably have to buy a new computer.

I heard mid-summer. Electronics Boutique (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/235059.asp) says 6/30, although I don't think this is an official date.

Quake 3 was the last FPS I really played.
