Okay, I'm a teacher. I have absolutely no experience in insurance, but I'm making the big switch to actuarial. I passed exam 1 on my first try, but I know NOTHING about insurance. I have an interview tomorrow for a position in long-term care insurance, & I want to seem slightly intelligent. Can anyone tell me the Cliff-Notes version of what I need to know??? Thanks!

Dude, I hope your interviewer doesn't read the RF.
If you don't know squat, don't pretend. Your potential boss is obviously an expert in this field (it's his career), and will see right through you. Be honest. If they're looking for someone with lots of knowledge of that industry, you would be a horrible fit. If they're just looking for a smart person who can learn what needs to be learned, you don't need to know anything going in.

It doesn't hurt to have a rudimentary understanding of the topic, though I agree that you shouldn't BS.
