Would anybody have played this differently?? I think I have to call all-in with my Queens every time.

Yup, all-in. If you end paying the man, you pay the man. Can't complain about getting your money in there with Queens.

You have position. I would have re-reaised, but not gone all in. His raise represents a good hand. A reraise would let him know you have a high pair. 2 Situations might occur:

1.) He might just call your raise in this situataion to see the flop. Flop has a K or A, he will bet it, you have a chance to fold and stay in the game with 1000 odd chips. If flop has no overcards, then go all-in. Remember you have position.

2.)He goes all in - yep, I'd call still, but with hesitation, I'd call him for the over cards A-K and pray to the almighty poker gods.

You should have done something different. A pair of queens loses to a pair of kings 100% of time. For future reference Qs lose to aces too, but win vs Jacks or lower.
