Anybody watching this? Anybody care?

He has made some pretty strong statements about racism, not sure whether they are true or not. Not sure how "under fire" he is. If he is, it's a shame, he's a very good coach, been to the Final Four at least a couple times, winning it all once.

I think, once you have won a NCAA, you should definitely get a free pass for at least one bad season. And, where would Arkansas be without him?

Although, he sort of compared himself to MLK Jr, which I thought was a bit much.

Hey, he's head of some coaching NAACP chapter & has a white wife, maybe he's a little confused about everything.

He should really feel beaten down every time he goes to cash one of those obscenely large paychecks.

That championship was some time ago.
He won a championship, then lost to UCLA the following year. 1994 and 1995? Last time I checked that was some 7 years ago.
Time to start working again.

1994 he won the championship. That means only 7 coaches have won it more recently. Also won the SEC tourney two years ago, and been to the postseason 14 out of 15 times since he's been in Fayetville. I would hardly say he hasn't been working. How many coaches have done better than that? I wish my school could say as much, and my school is considered a good basketball school.

Just not sure why he flipped like he did.

I agree, there wasn't much background on it.
But to do it during Black History Month?

I would guess some yokel has been complaining about the lack of a second champeenship. Probably media-driven. I know for a fact that the rest of the country couldn't care less.

Local media criticism, along with a report that his contract will be bought out ("when" is an unknown).

And local yokels:

"The university and the fans have been good at the same time there is that vocal group that personally don't like my kind," Richardson said. "That's the nature of the beast."
