Thought I would add this to counteract the "Bad Beat" posts. Had a semi-great run of cards last night.
I played from 10pm last night until 6am this morning. It's a NL cash game with 0.25/0.50 blinds.
Not sure how many hands I was dealt, but let's say it was 40 per hour. Out of 320 hands, I was dealt AA six times. I won 5, and saved myself from over committing when the river gave me a set, but 4 flush cards to my opponent. All five wins were taken down preflop or postflop.
Also, I played 66 four times and got the devil all every time. The last time I had to call a preflop raise that normally would cause me to chuck the 6s. I told myself that I had to call, because I was sure to flop a six. :D Sure enough, the 6 comes out and I get bet into, I reraise, get reraised and called when I went all-in. An early time the flop was AA6 which gave me all-in action from AT.
The only thing that was not working were the flushes. I must have flopped four to a flush a dozen times, and either missed everyone or was chased out of the hand.
All-in-all it was a good night.
