View Full Version : DB Keogh Plan Termination
I have a few DB Keogh (sole proprietor, one person) Plans that are Fidelity prototypes. In order to terminate DB plans, normally, we file for a determination letter, etc., but in this case, should Fidelity be able to handle all this and the disposition of the assets without any additional work on my part?

If it's a 1 person plan, a "quiet" termination might work...BUT someone still has to calculate the benefit and optional forms (lump sum especially!). Can Fidelity do that and properly account for any shortfall or excess?
If there are two or more participants, I'd recommend a filing, especially if it's covered by PBGC!
