For those studying for part 7 - how many hours have you put in so far and how many do you expect to put in during the next two weeks?

Those who sat for part 7 before - how many hours did you put in and what was your score?

I actually passed Exam 7 last spring with just under 150 hours. [It was my first attempt.]

[I attribute this primarily to good fortune.]

I have put in about 120 hours so far and expect to do another 90 in the next 2 weeks. I am a good crammer, so I am just spending the next two weeks memorizing and doing problems. I took last year's exam last night and got 54 points, so I am not panicked.

I got 5 and 6 in less than 200 hours, each on the first try so I am hoping a bit more will work for 7 ... lots more material on this one, so I allocated a bit more time.

I am on my way to putting in 300 hours. I have about 270 so far.

Do you feel better knowing what people on the other end of the bell curve have to do?

Actually, I think I am pretty typical.

Nice to hear a response from another normal person! I was afraid that only those who passed with <200 hours would reply!
