It's Friday afternoon and I'm burned out so I'm playing around on the internet. Here's a simple game I came up with in the course of my screwing around... below are 10 different occupations or fields I typed into Google. I jotted down the number of pages found for each. See how well you can predict Google's results by matching the occupation with the number of pages found. Occupation is listed alphabetically, the number of hits listed next to the occupation is listed at random (i.e., the 1.85M next to "actuary" doesn't necessarily mean that actuary got 1.85M matches)
occupation-----hits
actuary-----1,850,000
adult film star-----63,100
ballet dancer-----650,000
cosmetologist-----107,000
ichthyologist-----365,000
janitor-----10,800
librarian-----384,000
mathematician-----390,000
statistician-----3,840,000
zoologist-----491,000
Feel free to post how many you guessed right.
If you want to keep the game going, somebody else post another list.
