Okay, well, not quite a toddler (http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=1614), but I'll bet his voice hasn't even broken yet. It's amazing to look at the list of teenage GMs and see how long the gap was between Fischer and Polgar; since then, I guess with the acceleration of chess computers and the internet, they're coming in thick and fast.

This, and I struggle and struggle to get to expert.

I give.

I'm gonna go try something easier like being an actuary. :D

How high is expert?

The chess club in my city has a website that lists all its members. It has 5 masters (including an International Grand Master) and 5 experts and a ton of class (?) players. All the experts seem to be around 2,000.

Don't look for "Hagbard Celine" because I'm not a member!

Expert is 2000-2200. I'd like to start striving for that againmore seriously, but I want to pass exams more. (This opinion subject to change at any time.)
