I'm curious what quirky things you all do for study breaks while preparing to take these exams.

I just scrubbed my toilet. :smile:

Well, back to the books.

the arcade was just across the street, way back when i was studying... i was playing this game where you shoot people with a gun. and imagining each victim was the author of a paper i just studied.

Quilting and jigsaw puzzles. Very far removed mentally from studying.

Eat. I always wore the same big sweatshirt to each exam. People thought it was a good luck / superstition thing. Actually, it was the only article of clothing I could fit into by exam time!

I've been taking the opposite approach, studying when I need a break from here. Right on schedule so far !

I can relate to the original post. My house was always cleanest during study time. Any other time of the year, I had better things to do. :wink:

Ditto. It was amazing how those dustballs under the refrigerator that were so easy to ignore throughout the year suddenly became larger than life and absolutely had to be dealt with just prior to the exam.

Play video games. I have an old Super Nintendo that I seem only to play during study breaks during the ultra-intense last 3-4 weeks before an exam. I got pretty good at NBA Jam last spring while sitting for Part 5! :smile:

"Scrubbing the toilet" Hmmm... Is that what we're calling it these days? I've alwasys phrasing where "baloney" and "bop" collide in the same sentence. :grin:
