How does someone in middle position call a 3x BB raise with a 25s?

Some people will play any two cards if their suited. Drives me nuts. I was in a SnG tonight and it was so obvious that a couple of the guys were chasing flushes. They paid big for their chase, because against me it never came.

Brunson might. If the 3 * BB was less than 10% of his stack he would take implied odds that (a) you have a high pocket pair that you would be willing to go all in on after the turn and (b) he might flop two pair, a straight or flush.

I don't know if Brunson's style of play in No limit plays well in a tournament setting where you can't rebuy in for more chips, but it is a style that some people play.

The idea is you're giving up less than 10% of your chips in order to double up.
