OK, I'm seriously tired of EK's shit.

Here is my suggestion as to what to post as a response.

EK, The ghosts are tired of your shit. Since you seem to know everything, try going it alone and see how well it works.

The ghosts are tired of your highnesses demands. You want to limit the ghosts role beyond what was originally considered by all of the players. The rules of the game were clear that ghosts remained an active part of the game. As someone pointed out earlier, when you become a ghost you give up your bold vote but gain the confidence of being known innocent. Your complete and utter "I'm still alive and your a dead loser" crap is tired. When you are ready to work together as equals instead of some master / servant status, let us know. Until then, good luck not killing off anyone who is innocent.

I'm not totally against this, but if we decide to pursue this, I think we should ask all the students if they would like the GC to bow out for a couple of rounds. We really shouldn't be doing things that will affect the whole game because of EK, especially when we don't know if he's innocent.

Or maybe, we could simply ask the students what they would like the GC to do. We could set up a poll.

If we take this strategy the student will have to go it alone for a round. Until EK gets off his smack or is dead, the ghosts remain silent. Think of this along the lines of a civil protest. Until we get to ride in the front of the bus just like everyone else, we walk.

At the moment, we cannot. Rules allow us to communicate with students only in the game thread. I have asked (by PM) for Mr. Penguin to confirm (preferably by PM) that if a separate thread is created for Ghost - EK strategy discussions, we are allowed to post in it.

EK's "strategy" does have some merit. I think the alternative I proposed (where there is a threshhold; once reached in the round ghosts could suggest that name) is much better.

The strategy as modified says:
1. Students know who is in danger of being nominated, and that nomination will mean death (EK's method says they will slay who we propose, if it is within the parameters).
2. Students will nominate at least 3 names.
3. We will choose one of their 3.

As EK says, it will focus attention and probably encourage more discussion (certainly more defense by those on the hot spot).

I know we (the ghosts) should be more adult about this than EK is being but I find his crap tiring. The smack talk is entertaining. It is the whole, you didn't follow my way, and I FIND THAT OFFENSIVE, etc. that really chaps my ass. It just really makes me want to make this round a referendum, EK get more civil and admit the ghosts are equals, students kill EK, or ghosts resign. Simple choices, let the students and EK decide. If he comes off his high-horse or gets lynched, then the ghosts continue to participate. If the students choose to go it alone, then the ghosts disband and simply participate as individual commentary (similar to urysohn).

BTW, I realized last night a very plausible reason he didn't give us the PM from EC2 to him: he doesn't have it any more. I don't have any PMs from that long ago. That doesn't explain why he didn't just say he no longer had it. :swear:

What would happen if we recommended EK and Kaput???

Snafu, didn't you work with EK before? ;)

Yes, and he is just as much "fun" in real life

I would not be adverse to allowing or suggeting EK being lynched.

As such strong opponent of ghost participation, it may help to "educate" him should he be forced to limit his participation to the levels we do :burn: :burn: :burn: :burn:

But it would be so much more fun to "protect" him and let the EC knock him off for us

I hope that the slayer will take him out soon. Even if the slayer doesn't think he's likely to be EC, EK is trying to limit the GC, thereby limiting our ability to protect the slayer.

I've been tired of his crap for over a week now.

I'm not buying that the EC will hit him. He's mentioned a few times that he's trying to keep his status (not that exact word though) with the students and the EC. The EC can't see him as much (or any) of a threat at this point.

I'm in favor of snafu's idea, but don't want to leave the slayer hung out to dry. If the students want to use the slayer as their "guide" to make sure that they don't lynch him/her, then I'm fine with the ghosts bowing out of our "suggesting" role. Once the slayer's gone though...I guarantee that students will come a-knocking...

DEATH TO EC (note that a hard "C" sounds like a "K"...)

Here's as good a place as any for this.

EK started a separate thread for EK vs GC discussion. I suggest we ignore it, but we are allowed to post there.
Some people have suggested a separate thread for interaction between EK and ghosts. I don't think it is a good idea. However, can you please confirm by PM that if such a clearly identifiable thread is created, ghosts are allowed to post game related material in that thread without running afoul of the rules against communication (which I believe say we can communicate game related material only in the game thread).

I'm seeking the private OK (if such thread happens at all) just to make sure the rule isn't inadvertently broken by someone who just assumes it would be OK, before you made a public ruling.

Thanks

I don't have a problem with a separate and clearly identifies thread, but I wonder why? After all, I just want to have the Games thread with the highest post count. :)

I suggest that we only reply with lewd and offensive emoticons  ...who wants to go first?

edited because I typo'd... :duh:

It will be a further distraction. Let's wait until it is not the student's turn, if at all.

Upon reflection, I think the best way to respond to EK's rants at this point is to ignore them. I am rather fond of Leela's use of :blah: :blah: :blah:

Responding in this way will make it difficult for him to continue to argue with us.

How about my use of the New & Improved Stupid Stick (tm)
