My roommate recently signed up for an account and is playing on Pokerstars. He's also an actuarial student and is interested in playing in the ASOP. We wanted to play in a two table SnG the other night but a message came up saying we couldn't play in the same tournament. I assume it's b/c we're on the same IP address with our cable modem and Pokerstars is trying to make sure no foul play is going on, but I wasn't sure. Any opinions?

Also, I assume we wouldn't both be able to play in the ASOP event either? Is there anyway around this? It would be just as easy for any two other players to call each other and share their hands as it would be for us (which I assure you we wouldn't do). It doesn't seem fair that we wouldn't both be able to play.

I understand PokerStars policy, but I think they can make an exception for a private tournament. Just email support.

They already allow it in Private tourneys. PW & I play off the same IP addy.

They will not allow us to play at the same public table. No exceptions.

That's cool. Yeah, I'm not really worried about regular tournaments, no sense trying to take each other's money in that anyway. Hopefully, you'll see us both there next week.
