They just released the 2002 NFL Schedule (http://espn.go.com/nfl/s/schedule/2002.html). The Jets have a tough last 5 weeks: at Oakland (Mon), Denver, at Chicago, at New England and Green Bay. I guess you find out what kind of team you have after 5 games like that! The Monday night games look pretty good at first glance - they open with Pittsburgh at New England.

That'll be the first game in the new stadium. I'll probably tune in to see that, and I wouldn't normally even consider watching MNF.

The Lions are also playing in a new stadium this year called Ford Field (http://www.detroitlions.com/facility/index.cfm?cont_id=74062) They already have Superbowl XL, in 2006, scheduled there. We're scheduled to play them there on November 17th.

Rams fan perspective: A little surprised they didn't put the @Chiefs or @Eagles games up on Monday instead of vs.Bears. They'll regret putting the Bears on MNF 3 times, even if they do have a wide fan base.
Glad to see realignment is finally here and nobody will have absurdly cakewalk schedules anymore. No more '99 Rams/'00 Giants/'01 Bears ('one of these things is not like the other' however).
Seen the new Seahawks unis... (sharp looking white jerseys, I wonder why they look so familiar!)

The Super Bowl XL looks strange. It's the Roman numeral 40!
Jets Fan, the game that really sticks out for me is the Jets at Dolphins on September 22.
Due to the tropical weather in September, the Fins are unbelievably good at home in September over the past 10 years, but (as you and I know), the Jets have won the past eight against Miami. http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/Smilies_klein/angryfire.gif
Something's gotta give! That should be one of the most interesting games of September.

Kind of bummed that no further negotiations took place to give MNF better late-season games.
Certainly a monetary amount could have been agreed upon. Maybe Disney wouldn't budge on the $0 amount.
Oh, in response to the first post, don't worry, jf. there's a high probability that two of those teams will be below 0.500 by the time the Jets play them. Past results aren't helping with predicting anymore.

Yeah MF, I took note of that game in September too! All week long, all the Dolphins are going to hear about is the 8 game streak and can they EVER beat the Jets again! We'll see!
DTNF, I hope you're right about a few of those last five teams! It's definitely true that a team that was really good last year may be bad this year.
I'm already starting the countdown until next September! :D
