Georgia State hit my credit card twice (once in February, once in March)for the Course 4 seminar. The charge is to GSU Communications both times. I called the number listed on my credit card bill (404-651-1072), but the lady that answered the phone there said they are not affliated with the actuarial seminars. She also said I was the second to call. I called the office number (404-641-2734) listed in the "acceptance" letter and left a message about this problem, but as of this posting I have not received a reply. I am sure it is an honest mistake but check your credit card bill if you are taking this seminar. If it does appear twice call your credit card company and dispute the second charge.

Call Robbie Barber or Mike Cohen at 404-463-9142. I'm sure they can help you. There might be a mistake, or worse yet, fraud.
Our office was notified yesterday of Jay Oliver’s discussion thread concerning the accidental double billing of seminar fees to his credit card. Last week, through a clerical error, eleven credit cards were double-charged for seminar fees. We realized the error that same day, and reversed the charges on ten of the cards, but regrettably missed the extra charge on Mr. Oliver’s card.
Unfortunately, Mr. Oliver also had an incorrect telephone number for our office, so he was unable to reach us. On Monday, we received a telephone message from him and returned his call. After reviewing our records and finding the error, we reversed the extra charge on Tuesday morning.
We apologize to all the individuals involved for any inconvenience this incident may have caused, and especially to Mr. Oliver. It is unfortunate that this situation occurred and more unfortunate that he was initially unable to contact our office. I urge anyone who has any concerns with the GSU Actuarial Science seminars to visit our website at www.actuary.gsu.edu, where both the office telephone number and an email link can be found.
I assure you that we will do everything possible to prevent this from happening again. I also want to thank J-Man for giving everyone reading the thread the correct telephone number for our office…Robbie Barber, Actuarial Science Seminars
