Any suggestion to find an internship in Florida?

Is it ok to begin to look for a job after 1 exam pass or wait after passing more than one exam?

Tks.

Try the job link on the SoA website:

http://www.soa.org/job/job.asp

Or, if you have some specific companies in mind, you could just send a cover letter and resume to the companies' HR departments. Companies don't always advertise their internship positions, but if you let the company know that you're interested, they may be able to find a position for you.

Most companies will gladly hire an intern with one exam (some companies even hire interns with no exams). So, there's no need to wait until you pass more exams.

Good luck!

Next summer, try AEGON Financial Partners in St. Petersburg, FL. They have a summer internship program.

Some of the job listings at http://www.math.ufl.edu/~be/actuary.html are Florida internships.

Florida State alludes to internships at http://web.math.fsu.edu/~smith/Guides/actmath.html#internships. You could check with them if they have an updated Florida list.

http://www.drake.edu/cbpa/acts/dass/blue.htm mentions an intern program.

We also have an updated internship list, but off the top of my head I don't remember how many are in Florida.

we have an internship here at New York Life in Tampa -- filled this summer, but contact me for next year. Or you can send your resume through Home Office and it will get to me.
