Forms in Word

I have one set up, and it works, but . . .

It's my first run through it, and there are occasional formatting problems (the one I'm looking at right now is a missing page break). Unlocking and re-locking the form clears all the data I've already entered. Is there any way around that?

Use Excel instead.
I tried the forms a few years ago, and it was too much trouble.
